About us

We are congregation committed to one another and committed to making a difference in the lives of all God’s children.  We range in age from the not yet walking to those with walkers!  We might be small but our impact is big!

In order to best live into our mission serving our community, we sold our building in 2024.  This sale has empowered us to increase our outreach giving to Northland organizations to over $100,000 annually!  For example, in 2025 we established a $100,000 endowment with the Park Hill School District for social workers to support kids and families.  We provided a $50,000 gift to the new Northland Workforce Development Center to provide childcare for working adults pursuing new employment skills.  Additionally, we support Carousel Pediatric Programs through KC Hospice, ReFresh Personal Care Closet via our siblings at Pine Ridge Presbyterian

This is in addition to our hands-on volunteer services at SPEAC, Micah Ministry, and NorthCare Hospice House - among others.

Additionally, we helped our denomination lead the way by being a pilot congregation for a new older adult ministry!  We help sponsor a monthly lunch and learn for older adults that provides resources for seniors in Platte and Clay Counties!   Like we said, we might be small but our impact is big!

We have also lived into a creative staffing model with our campus pastor, Rev. Barb Jones providing pastoral care and worship leadership.  The preaching pastor at our sister congregation at Community provides our sermons and other administrative services.

Worship is casual and joyful with plenty of parking!  We’d love to welcome you!

Kathy and her late partner, Sara, began coming to PHCC in 2014. They loved the openness and inclusiveness that greeted us here. Sara and Kathy were together 27 years before her passing in 2024.
