We know that visiting a church for the first time can be hard. We are a community practicing God's radical, inclusive, real love together and that means that you are welcome in Community right now, just as you are, no matter what. Welcome. We are so happy you are here and we would love for you to worship with us on Sunday morning.
All are welcome here
Affiliated with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), we strive to live out our Disciples identity as a “movement for wholeness in a fragmented world.” Local to the Kansas City Metro, Community is made up of people in 2 states, 8 counties, 25 cities and 63 zip codes. Our online Community is active from rural Kansas and rural Missouri, Colorado, Iowa, Maine, New York, Tennessee and Texas.
We are a group of people searching for a faith that makes sense in the 21st century and we are committed to our core values of worshiping joyfully, celebrating the arts and doing justice. We make clear our commitment to racial justice as well as our full embrace and inclusion of members of the LGBTQ+ community. We celebrate our partnership as an Open and Affirming Congregation with the Disciples LGBTQ+ alliance.

Sunday Worship
Our early service is at 8:30 in Bonfils Chapel.
Our celebration service is at 10:30 in our Frank Lloyd Wright designed sanctuary. This service features our choir which delights us each week with their eclectic musical selection. The service is traditional in style yet progressive in theology. Communion is celebrated weekly and all are invited to participate.
Community's historic Frank Lloyd Wright building is located on Kansas City's Country Club Plaza. We are a congregation in the heart of the city that takes the welfare of the city to heart.
Parking is available in the Anthropology of the Plaza lot directly south of Community. You may also park along residential streets near the church. Parking for individuals with disabilities is available in lots on the east and south sides of the building.
